Prankster picked up a copy and I took a copy of the flyer, it wasn't until I got home that I noticed it featured Melbourne's own Brad Strut.



Man if I knew that at the time I would've copped it right then and there. I'm a fan of anything that Strutters does.

So stoked on getting another pair of my first DC's(different colorway mind you, I had the Navy's first time round), Rudy Johnson's from 1995.

Ed hooked me up with these, when he was working at Skatebiz. See the distributors were in QLD so we got first dibs on colorways e.t.c. and knew exactly how many pairs of each dropped in the whole of Australia, so we would pick the freshest colorways/ones that were limited and knew that no one else would be rocking em. Tight.

I skated the shit out of them, then I got Rob Dyrdek 3's:

So after about 6hrs play and unlocking all songs, this game just gets better.



Playing DJ Shadow's, Z-Trip's & The Scratch Perverts tracks/remixes I had the most fun as it's the realest your going to come "scratching" in a video game setting.



Tried The Scratch Perverts - "Beats & Peices" on Expert and nearly damn near got ate up by the thing. It's one of dreams come true, scratching & video games. Yeah sure I have a better chance doing the cuts IRL, but hey it's just fun.



Plus my scratch hand is my left/fader right, so I've switched it up using my right(scratch)/left(fader) for the game and it's actually made my real life cuts and fader control better. That's after 4-5 hours of playing. No more Gripmaster, just get DJ Hero!!!

Got 5 stars on the 4 songs I played on Medium, so moved up to Hard where real DJ skills get thrown into the mix: Transforming & Stabs(fwd and reverse). So stoked. Gary freaked out when I did my first spin back too haha.

I'm coppin' it first thing tomorrow.

Oh yeah Shadow wasn't a douche for once and played a good set. Nice one (but he was spinning premixed dubplate vinyl which seemed odd and cool at the same time).

Damn, nearly forgot about DJ Blakey's set, dude killed it. So good to hear cuts in the club again. Nobody cuts in London no more.

Wow, just got back from Weezy's first show for 09 in London @ Hammersmith Apollo. It was a sold out crowd and everyone was loosing it in there, such a good vibe. I don't wanna sound like Jim Ross, but you could feel the electricity in the air.

I'm speechless. Although he didn't do as much of his back catalogue as I would've liked, Baby came out for "We Taking Over" which was mindblowing and one of the(multiple) goosebump part's of the night was when he performed his mixtape track "1000 Degrees" (one of my favourite tracks ever).

This was one of my favourite skate vids(brands) from the mid 90's. I've been searching for my VHS PAL copy hi and lo, but when you move 3000kms then another 17000kms things tend to get misplaced. After a quick google search, someone has upped in onto them interwebs. Hooray!

I can't tell you how many times I've watched this video. Shorty's and Armando's part always stuck out(all of them had dope style for days) and the soundtrack is dope too. Always got me amped to skate.

The VHS rip audio on the youtube has some annoying white/pink noise to it, so I decided to recreate the audio mix myself. It's damn near spot on, I shortened some of the dead air bits that obviously you can't see while listening and added some of the soundtrack from the video as well to round it out.

This was a labour of love for myself, so if you don't get it, watch the vid's first then you'll be able to appreciate it a lil more.

Damn I would kill for any of my old clothing from Neighborhood/Especial/Stamina ATLETICO/MNC Tech right now.
